Schools 7s manager Jana Arlow believes this invitational tournament can provide a stepping stone from schools level to university level and higher.

"The teams invited to the tournament are some of the best provincial sides around northern based provinces, and we know they will provide a fantastic display of 7s rugby.

"It will be great to have such talented provincial schools’ athletes playing on the field next the Varsity 7s players. We believe it closes the loop from schools’ level, to university and to national level."

Arlow extended her sincere gratitude to the sponsors of Schools 7s, KeyHealth Medical Scheme.

"Thanks so much to KeyHealth Medical Scheme for sponsoring the competition, and also providing medical cover for our players during the tournament. We couldn't have this amazing display of rugby without them."
